  • How long does it take for bees to make honey?
It takes bees about 21 days from the time they start collecting nectar to the time they finish making honey. The process of making honey includes gathering nectar, reducing the moisture content, and storing it in the honeycomb cells.
  • My honey is hard, what do I do?
If your honey has crystallized, you can easily reverse the process by gently warming it. Place the sealed honey jar in a bowl of hot water and stir the honey until it has liquefied. Heat the honey until it reaches a temperature of no more than 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Be careful not to overheat the honey as this can destroy beneficial enzymes, flavor, and aroma. If your honey is still too thick after warming, you can also add a few drops of water to thin it out.
  • Why should I not use a metal spoon for my honey
Metal spoons can react with the honey and cause it to become acidic, which can alter the flavor and texture. Additionally, metal spoons can leave behind a metallic taste in the honey, which is not desirable. For the best flavor, we recommend using a wooden or plastic spoon when enjoying your honey.
  • What do I do with my empty and used honey jar?
Bee Like That is committed to sustainability and environmental protection. We encourage you to reuse or recycle your used honey jar. If you’d like to reuse the jar for another purpose, it can be washed with hot, soapy water and used to store something else. If you’d like to recycle it, check with your local authorities to find out the best way to do so.
  • Why can't we visit the bee hive?
Unfortunately, due to safety and health concerns, we cannot allow visitors to our apiaries. Bees are vulnerable to a variety of diseases and pests, and allowing visitors could spread these to our hives, putting our bees at risk. We also take the safety of our visitors very seriously, and apiaries can be dangerous places for those not used to dealing with bees.
  • Why is my honey different colors?
Honey can vary in color depending on the type of flower the bees visit. Light colored honey is usually made from smaller flowers while dark colored honey is made from larger flowers. The color and flavor of the honey will also depend on the region it is produced in, as different plants will be in bloom at different times of the year.
  • Why does my honey taste different?
swer: The taste of honey can vary depending on the type of flowers the bees have visited for pollen. Different flowers have different nectar profiles that can affect the taste of honey. Some honey can also be blended with other types of honey to create a unique flavor.
  • What is the shelf life on my honey? And how do I store it properly?
Answer: The shelf life of honey depends on the type of honey and how it is stored. Generally, if properly sealed and stored in a cool, dark place, honey can last indefinitely. To ensure the best shelf life, store honey at temperatures below 50°F and make sure the lid is securely fastened to prevent moisture from entering the container. Additionally, avoid storing your honey near strong odors as this may cause it to take on the scent.
  • Yes, it is true that honey can reduce allergies. Honey contains anti-inflammatory compounds which can reduce the body's sensitivity to allergens.
ditionally, honey has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties which can help fight off infections. Other health benefits of honey include boosting the immune system, improving digestion, and providing energy.
  • What temperature should I not cook honey on?
Honey should never be cooked or heated above 95°F (35°C). Heating honey above this temperature can cause it to become overly dark and lose its flavor and aroma.

  • What is my art shipped in?
All of Sarah Heil Custom Art drawings are shipped in square tube boxes to ensure that your artwork arrives in perfect condition. I found that tubes were safer than mailing it flat because it is harder for the box to be bent during shipping. The box is then marked with the “Fragile”. Larger artworks or soaps are packaged in the best suitable box for its needs and again, marked "Fragile".
  • My drawing is curled from the tube, what do I do
If your drawing arrives curled, you can try to flatten it by placing a few books on top of it overnight. The easiest and safest way is putting it in a frame, the glass against the backing will flatten the drawing.
  • Do you offer refunds
We do not offer refunds on our custom art services. We will work with you to make sure you are satisfied with the final product, but all sales are final.
